I'm Hitting The Rewind Button

Posted on 2/23/08 at 01:04 am
I Feel: blank
I'm Listening To: Alone // Sanctus Real
I'm forgetting it all

I'm forgetting what happened
I'm forgetting everything I said
I'm forgetting what they said to me
I'm forgetting him
I'm forgetting the way I felt with that girl
I'm forgetting everything I've thought about
I'm forgetting my feelings
I'm forgetting what people said about me
None of it happened...

I've decided the books are going back...
The help I've been getting from people is going to stop
I don't need any help.

This is obviously too much to fix.

I'm rewinding my life to August. That was before I started feeling things I shouldn't...for people that should only be friends. And before any stupid mistakes. I'm turning back to the people I was originally going for.

And I'm staying there.

Politics Suck

I hate how a movie or a book can have so much potential...
then they begin to focus entirely on anti-war, world-peace, government-is-wrong, pity-us-for-being-different ramble.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the kind of person that likes guns and violence. But the truth is, its the only way to get through to people. Peace, Love, And Happiness isn't realistic.
I hate watching movies where they go on about their political views -- conservative or liberal. Its the kind of thing I watch and its just like, give me a fucking break. I understand if the movie is trying to show the controversy by showing both sides of the argument and I can even accept it if that's the center-point of the film. I can't stand when I watch something completely unrelated to politics and the filmmakers have their political views secretly hidden within it. It ruins the whole movie for me.
Star Wars: Episode III, during Anakin's final confrontation with Obi-Wan, he makes his little speech. George Lucas decided to connect Darth Vader and the Sith to Bush and the government by directly quoting Bush. Before the final battle, Anakin says to Obi-Wan “If you’re not with me, you’re my enemy.” I love George Lucas and all but that really pissed me off. Apparently the Star Wars galaxy isn't "far, far, away" anymore.

There was a book I wanted to read...then I read the plot-outline and they literally make the conservatives sound like monsters and the liberals are the victims. Conservatives and liberals are equal. One doesn't overpower the other.

"Soon the school's health books have been removed from the classrooms for "review," a conservative parents' group stages a library book burning, and Jamie's beloved teacher is forced to resign from her job. Then, on top of it all, Jamie and her best friend Terry (who is openly gay) are the victims of a vicious attack by a group of conservative students and Jamie has to decide if she can handle the consequences of coming out."

Its so hypocritical that the message is to stop people from stereotyping gays but the author can't even take the time to stop  stereotyping conservatives.
People just need to realize that labels have nothing to do with anything. Whether you're gay, straight, conservative, liberal...get over it.
We're all the same. One small difference doesn't change that.
